We are looking in to moving to Sacramento. Any of you live there or have in the past? We want good transportation (which looks promising with the buses, light-rails, and free mobility training), walkability, low-rent housing (I looked and some 2-bedroom places were cheaper than what we pay in Palm Desert), people who are accepting, lots of things to do with the kids and the ability to get a job if you're blind. I may be asking for a lot, but... We have family there who are willing to help us get up there, but I'm just wondering if it's any better than where we are now. I'm sure the milder climate alone is worth it. :) So, feedback is very much appreciated.
For those who are interested, we are moving on August 20 and will be in Northern Sacramento near Citrus Heights and Roseville.
